Regenerative Medicine:
surgical procedures Alta Mesa Animal Hospital now offers stem cel therapy for your dogs. The pet's own fat is collected and adult stem cells are isolated and later injected into an affected joint, tendon, ligament or IV. Common uses are osteoarthritis, ligament injuries, & autoimmune disease.
Anesthesia: 
We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, a technician is dedicated to your individual pet & responsible for monitoring the patient's vital signs during all anesthetic procedures.
    
Internal Medicine Consults:
We offer referrals to internal medicine specialists who can perform ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures and helps us with the diagnosis of extremely complicated cases.
   
Radiology Services: 
Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
   
Electrocardiography Services: 
We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

   
Dentistry: 
Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, state of the art digital dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery.  We now offer OraVet barrier sealent applied at the time of the dental cleaning along with a go-home packet of maintenance gel. 
   
Laboratory: 
Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Pet Suplies:
ALTA MESA ANIMAL HOSPITAL carries a full range of pet supplies for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, rodents, and more.  Dog & cat supplies include items such as shampoos, conditioners, vitamin supplements, fatty acids, stain/odor removal products, prescription foods, gentle leader systems, treats/chews, as well as flea and tick products.  For our birds we carring AviX supplies for skin and feather health, Harrisions Pellet Diet and other accessories.  We also carry Oxybow products for rodents including chewable viatmin C tablets for guinea pigs and grass hay based treats and diet.

Pharmacy: 
We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.  We make our medicine taste better by using Flavorx products.
  

Individualized Tick & Flea Control Programs: 
We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas & ticks in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling: 
We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.
    
Behavioral Counseling: 
We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Grooming: 
At ALTA MESA ANIMAL HOSPITAL we belive that proper grooming and bathing are essential components of pet health.  In our grooming area we have a state of the art bathing system which uses InjectAir technology and fuses a constant supply of fresh water, shampoo, and air.  InjectAir produces a combing action,  spray pentration deep into the coat, and breakes down oil and dirt while providing a messaging effect. Services available include, medicated baths, nail trimming, dips, dematting and more.

Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery:
We enjoy providing care for our exotic patients including birds, rabbits, reptiles, ferrets, rodents and more.  Dr. Patt has a special interest in exotic pets and regularly attends continuing education meetings to enhance our ability to provide excellent care to these animals.

Boarding:
All boarders at our facility enjoy the following amenities:  100& indoor runs, fully air-conditioned and heated boarding areas, Hills Science diets, Kitty Condos separate from dog boarding areas, Attentive Caring Staff, Clean Cages and Runs, Grooming available (appointment must be made with groomer) visits/tours of the facility.  Additional Tender Loving Care Packages are also available and make your pet's stay with us extra-special, request our TLC boarding package.  The package features the following additional amenities:  Upgraded boarding area (larger) daily brushing, three leash walks daily, special dietary needs, extra Comfort rug in the pet's accommodations, pet report card.
